Nine Coastal Bend firms honored as top workplaces

CORPUS CHRISTI — Nine local companies were honored Wednesday as the Coastal Bend’s Best Places to Work. Top honors
went to Heavin & Associates Insurance Agency in the small company category, Carlisle Insurance Agency in the medium category
and Driscoll Children’s Hospital in the large category. The categories were based on the number of employees. The Corpus
Christi Human Resource Management Association, who along with several sponsors, announced the winners during a luncheon at
the Congressman Solomon P. Ortiz International Center. The winning organizations were found to excel in areas of employment,
attraction and retention.
Personnel Dynamics Consulting, based in Fort Pierce, Fla., provided each company with a detailed report documenting the results
of the survey and samples of some of the best practices used in the community. The report is a first in the event’s seven-year history,
